Removing the stock from a model 10 precision carbine & trigger issue
I have removed the bolt, magazine and the three screws from the stock. The action will not drop free. Am I missing a step or is this normal? I do not want to force anything.
Also on occasion when I work the bolt it will not cock, I have to raise the bolt handle once or twice, if I increase the trigger pull will it solve this?

I'll taking a stab ... that rifle should have the accustock so you pulled three screws (2 action and 1 for the trigger guard) and loosened the very front screw (wedge screw) correct?
You didn't miss the action screw "hidden" under the bolt removal button?

No problem.
Keep in mind the very front screw is only loosened to remove the stock, if you pulled it out then you will need to re-thread the wedge back on the screw before you put the action back in the stock.
This thread discusses the proper torque method to reseat the action
