I just received my Hdy OAL gauge. I've been using the straight one for years, but bought the curved one for use on my AR.
I'm wanting to check my .300BLK chamber, but the end of the tool has a long extension on it which prohibits me from even placing a bullet into the modified case to the cunnelure, much less any shorter.
I don't see why it has to be so long. Any reason why I can't just dremel about a 1/2" off the end of the tool?
Why can't you use the straight version?
It doesn't work on an AR15. It's too short to use through the back of the receiver. You need the curved one to get into the chamber on an AR....or lever gun.Quote:
