Tried posting picture, sorry
Vmaxes where for varmints=Zmax are for Zombies. Piss poor sales gimic, the only difference is the color of the tip
I like em if for no other reason you can find em in 500 count boxes.
The Z-max bullets I bought have a cannelure. Other than that and the color of the tip they look like the same bullet as the V-max.
V-max= standard cup-N-core bullet.
Z-max= Amp jacket construction.
I bought some of the Z-Max last year to take pdogin'. Shot them out of my 243AI. Just as accurate as the V-Max and blew up Pdogs nice. Tried them again here in December and shot some V's first and got scope re-zeroed. Then shot some of the Z's. All things in the loads were equal, right down to powder and primers being out of the same lots and loaded at the same time. The group sizes were nearly identical, but POI was a bit higher than the V's. Maybe 3/8's of an inch @ 100. Horizontal was same for me. With all the scope adjustments in the field, and the major elevational difference between CO and home I guess I didn't notice in the pdog towns.
The green tip Zmax bullets are for AR15 rifles firing on full auto and shooting Zombies.....................

If they pass the 30 round magazine ban you people who use the Vmax and a bolt action rifles will need to buy 12 gauge shotguns and be fast runners if we have a Zombie attack.
Below .224 55 grain Vmax and Zmax. (the only difference I have seen is the crimping groove)

If my handloads have a red tip they are for my .223 bolt action, if they have a green tip they are for my AR15 rifles. And that's all the deference I can see.
The 168 grain .308 loaded round is an A-Max bullet with a green tip. My model 12 BVSS likes that ammo a lot.
I have shot the 58gr 6mm in my Striker alot and they are very accurate in it. No difference between them or Nosler 55gr or V-max 58gr as far a accuracy goes.
I am surprised with the price of everything in the stratosphere, you can still buy a box of 500 for $ 79.00 bucks, good deal, my 22 cals and my 24 cals love em, well not really, I had to keep shoving powder up there wahoo until they did, I knew they would eventually come around and see things my way.
