What weight bullets can I shoot
I have a Savage 110FCP 338 Lapua with 1-9 twist. I have not shot it yet.
Whats the weight range of bullets that a 1-9 will stablize?
I am also having a Savage action .338AI built, I was told a 1-10 will be good for 300gr, Also what weights will the 1-10 stablize?
Thanks
Re: What weight bullets can I shoot
I think 1:9 should work with any bullets on the market for .338.
What .338 AI are you have built on a Savage action and what action is it?
Re: What weight bullets can I shoot

I have been doing most of the upkeep and range work at the local range for the last 3+ years( volunteer work)
As a thankyou from the club they gave me the Savage 110FCP 338 Lapua. They were going to have it engraved and all, till they found out that I was having a .338 RayHill Rocket with a 110 action built they thought I might want to sell it to fund the build. I think I'll shoot it and see what kind of accuracy I can get from it.

What about the 1-10?
Re: What weight bullets can I shoot
The 1:10 should easily get you to 300 grain bullets. Don't think you will need anything heavier/longer.
What is the parent case for your Rayhill Rocket. I am not familiar with this one and can't seem to find any info.

300 grain with Retumbo should do the job!
I was told retumbo would be my best friend when devoleping loads for mine. It definetly worked for me!
Re: What weight bullets can I shoot
I had planned on starting using H1000 with 300s but am susceptible to try anything once.
Thanks
