Hollow point feeding problem....typical?
Went out and shot my 10FP LE1 today, put 25 rounds through it and had lots of trouble with the rounds not wanting to feed properly when I cycled the bolt, almost half the rounds had to be hand fed to load them. The ammo is Remington 45 gr. hollow points, and I suspect that therein lies the problem. Anyone else ever encounter this with hollow points?
By the way, the gun is a stagger feed, not the straight feed.
Re: Hollow point feeding problem....typical?
Yep, thats pretty common in the .223 with the hollow points, Ballistic Tips will solve it.
Re: Hollow point feeding problem....typical?
They is another solution and that is to have a ar15 style cone cut into the back of the barrel. SSS can do it for you, without removing the barrel.
Re: Hollow point feeding problem....typical?
Thanks guys. I figured it was just a hollow point problem, just thought I would ask and make sure.
