Any thoughts on this stock in the tactical model
Love mine. Lightweight for a tactical/varmint/target stock...with a FLAT forend (great for shooting off the bags at PD's or target shooting), very good "feel" at the pistol grip, and good cheek weld.
I would stock all of my rifles with these.....but you have to mix it up..right!?!?!??
I see the Medalist for the long action is finally out. gotta get one to try out.
Not the tactical model.Quote:

Rumor has it that the Medalist tactical stock(2999 style) is going to
be made for the Savage long action rifles. Is this true? I'd love to
buy one for my rifle.
Thanks.
So no long action love from B&C.Quote:
Possibly but I have not time frame on this.
Choate on the other hand is working on his new tactical stock for the Savage long actions, which should be out "early next year" according to email.
Do a search on this topic. there are alot of threads on it and pics.
The medalist that is out for the long actions is the Sporter style. It is almost like the Duramax, but with the addition of the full aluminum bedding block and monte carlo style cheekpiece.
To see it look at the thread in Stocky's Gunstocks vendors section. Here:

Got 2 of 'em and love 'em.Quote:
