Re: need some br optics help
in that price range the only real choice, new anyway, is the weaver t series. though the glass may not be as good as many of the much more expensive males, is is still more than sufficient. also, the weaver has one of the best tracking systems there is. tey runabout $400, but if you shop around you can find them as low as $340
Re: need some br optics help
There was a silver one over on 6mmbr for $300 earlier today.

The guy that is selling that T36 scope is actually buying a scope from me, and maybe a second one if he sells the T36 ;).

bluealtered,
Now that I think about it that is kinda weird.
-I'm buyin a scope from you
-the guy on 6mmbr is buyin one from me
- and you could buy one from the guy on 6mmbr
what are the odds of that????? :D
Re: need some br optics help
nevermind.. This T-36 just sold on gunbroker, but the good news is he is buying both of my scopes ;D
However, there is another T36 just like it over on RimfireCentral.com for $325.

I'm buying a 12fvss in .308 from one of our members. The plan is to use this for a bench rifle in the 3-600yd range. While i have scopes setting around, i would like to find something with a fine crosshair, or a very small dot to help with the targets further out, since the eyes aren't what they used to be.]
If you have a suitable scope on hand, you can have a dot installed for $75 plus shipping. See http://www.scopedot.com/
Re: need some br optics help
Thanks rwo, that may be the way to go. I guess the biggest thing for me at this point is that i don't know much about fixed power scopes, but i'm about to learn. blue
Re: need some br optics help
I would recommend the new Vortex crossfire 8-32 scope, this is what I have on my IBS long range light weight comp rifle. I replaced my t36 weaver with it and found that it is a better scope.
