I have a stainless 7mm Remington Magnum. I really like the 8x68 cartridge. Wondering anyone else has done this, how it feeds, etc.
Thanks. Lee

Lee I offer no true experience here. The only thing I can tell you is that the rim diameter on that cartridge falls between what is the savage standard. .512 is the rim size correct? I would first look into the bolt head functioning correctly on extraction and ejection. If not, having a bolt head modified so it could.
If you have your heart set on this you might contact PT&G and see if they can make you a bolt head.

Good luck!
Great Idea Gary, I was thinking the same.
You might have a tough time finding an 8mm barrel blank, not that popular anymore.
The 8x68s case can work on a magnum bolt face but I probably wouldn’t depend on it in a hunting rifle. I use RWS 8x68s cases for my 338/375 Ruger Striker with good results, but it’s a single shot. I haven’t had any extraction or ejection problems but I can see it happening pretty easy if you’re working the bolt hard and fast. The extractor just doesn’t get a good grip on the rim.
I'd look into having a .473 bolt face opened up.
Good info. I had not thought of getting a new bolt head, but that is a darn good idea.
