Hey guys, I have not purchased a Savage yet but am shopping for a new bench duty 308. Have another budget shooter being a Marlin X7VH in 223 with a heavy barrel. I and am looking at a Axis with the heavy 22" . Should be a good winter project and from what I read a real decent shooter with some time spent tuning handloads.
