Re: 220f's trickling out?
They're supposed to start shipping out to the distributors here in the next week or two. The one they're sending me to review is supposed to ship out tomorrow. ;)
Re: 220f's trickling out?
Very cool, thanks for the update. Glad to know they're not vapor-ware...
Re: 220f's trickling out?
Anybody seen them in stock?
Re: 220f's trickling out?
As of Sunday 10/18, the Cabelas in Buda, TX didn't have one and the salesman didn't offer anything beyond it not being in their computer. To be fair, though, I was pretty obviously just a tire-kicker.
This (scroll down to comments) is the only thing that google kicks out so far:

Re: 220f's trickling out?
I bought one a couple weeks ago !
I got it from Jerry's Wharehouse in Iowa or Kansas . At the time they had two and I got one of them !
Mine really really likes the Hornady SST 2 3/4" as well as the Remington Accutip 2 3/4" . Doesn't do bad with the Federal Barnes Tipped 3" but the recoil is noticable with the 3" load !
I set my Accu Trigger at 2 pounds 6 ounces and it does well !
Re: 220f's trickling out?
Okay here are pics of my Savage 220F . To get the Leupold Vari XII 3-9 to fit I had to use Weaver extension rings along with the Weaver bases .

The gun weighs about 7 pounds (without scope) !
The barrel on the one I have is a great deal lighter then the barrels on the H&R Ultra Slug DeLuxe 20 gauge guns .
Re: 220f's trickling out?
I've had one "on order" from our local gun dealer for a few months, but his distributors are not getting any yet. When he does get mine, I want to be ready as Illinois deer season is quickly approaching.
Are the Weaver mounts the same as the 110 rifle?
BTW, thanks for posting the great pics! Very nice.

I got mine from one of Jerry's wharehouses in Iowa I think . At the time he had maybe 2 or 3 at the most !
You use the same Weaver two piece base as used on the 110 .

It is the 110 long action, round reciever front / rear, w/ Accutrigger.

....And the verdict is.. ???...What is the accuracy level.. ???...
Re: 220f's trickling out?
The test target was 0.7 inches with Accu-Tips.
1-1/2 in. @ 100, around 2 at 150, 3-1/2 inches at 200 yards w/ Federal Barnes Tipped 3 in. 1900 fps loads, slightly better with Winchester 2000 fps Partition Golds.
It will do better than that, with better range conditions ... and perhaps a better nut behind the butt. :o
