Got a new savage 12 lrp 65 cm. Shot today first time. Shot two 3 shot groups of 9/16" @ 100 yds. With factory ammo. 140 gr hornandy amax. Gun shoots real nice. Look forward to working up some handloads.

Got the same rifle last week. Extremely impressive at 200 & 300 yards with mine. It's definitely a keeper. Now I need to find a ground hog field.

You should see even better grouping with handloads.
Finding fields as a rule is the easy part nowdays. Coyotes seem to be everywhere and groundhogs are easy prey for them.Quote:
