Redfield Style Mounts on .270

Hey Gang,

What do you guys think about the Redfield (Leupold) style mounts and rings on a .270? Would they hold up to recoil and be durable enough? Do they hold their adjustments well? I have Warne Perma rings and bases on all of my Savages, but I just bought a 114 in .270 that came with Leupold brand rings and bases. I am going to mount an extra Leupold VX-2 on the .270 and use it for a back up elk/deer rifle this fall, and I am debating whether to strip the existing mounts and go with my usual Warne's, or to keep the Leupold mounts and call it good. What are your experiences? Are there better mounting systems for a flat/round receiver?
