It's comming along....
The 110 7mm Rem Mag in process, final steps:
1) - Off to the smith to have the muzzle brake installed and indexed in conjuction with headspace, the brake is a Harrels Tactical so it has to be oriented properly.
2) - Bed the recoil lug and front action screw area. Woods all been relieved, shaped for the thicker lug etc, it's ready for the completed barreled action.
3) - Remove the light protective finish I put on the wood stock, complete the stain and apply Tung Oil finish.
4) - Shoot it!!!
I wound up doing a lot more than originally intended, imagine that, a lot of which can't be seen until a target shows it. I'll provide the specs once it's been out to play. This was a pretty beat up rifle when I got it although structurally sound. It's no beauty queen, just a traditional, lets go hunting rifle and I could not be happier :)

What kind of glass you using there? Are those Weaver Tactical / Skelton / slotted rings you have? I use them on all my heavy hitters. Good gripping power.
Are you going to shoot those giraffes running lose in your living room?
You want some nylon tie-wraps so you can bundle up those cables behind the shelf? I can send you some if you need them....

Gawd Frank.....laffin. The glass is my trusty Whitetail Classic 6.5 - 20x 50mm, rings are the Tacticals, really work well. Love the Whitetail, simple, straight forward and does the job, just like the rifle (well, eventually). Plus I can wear my glasses with it since the doc won't let me wear contacts for awhile. It and one of the Nikons are the only two I don't have problems with. Bifocals are a pain.
The giraffes are in the 'game' room, what would you expect? And the cables are loose cuz my son-in-law was supposed to have come over Sunday and helped me lug that setup upstairs and the one uptairs down here...he was a no show so I get to unbolt it all and do it meself. Figures.

Not many people use the factory stock on a build,I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Good looking set-up!
