List of Scope / Electronic Sight Brands / Companies - Can you add to the list?

I will update this periodically listed in alphabetic order and will add links to their home pages later, if they have one. There has to be a bunch missing but the list is pretty long already!

If you see any missing brands or know the home page for one that isn't shown or info that is incorrect, post it below and I will add it to the list. Please don't guess on this. Only give me info that you know to be correct first hand. I will keep a question mark after an item that is a guess or that I am not 100% sure on.

My understanding is that it has been many decades since any decent optical glass was manufactured in the USA for consumer sporting optics. If you can find a reliable source that says otherwise, please let us know.

Swift is made in Korea not China. They claim the glass they use is American made as well. Lower end Bushnells are made in Korea and China. A lot of Burris' are made in the Phillipines as well as Nikons. Simmons is now owned by Bushnell and as far as I know still made in China. Weaver is owned now by ATK and are mostly made in Japan with some being made in the Phillipines (40-44 series).

I forgot about Tasco. They're owned by Bushnell and made in China. The new redfield riflescopes are being made in Oregan by Leupold. Not sure where the glass comes from. The other Redfields (binos, spotting scopes etc.) are being imported but I'm not sure where from. I didn't know that any of the Leupold riflescopes were imported. Could someone confirm that?

Updated with the additions above to this point - Let me know if I missed something up there.

Leupold no longer states Made in America. They now say assembled in America.
I believe the rifleman and one other low end are made off shore.
Almost all of Leupold glass is from Japan.

Where are Premier Reticles scopes made? If made in the US, where are the components made, particularly the glass?

I believe right off the bat Premier had a contract with S&B to produce the Heritage scopes but that since has changed and the scopes are now made in house at Premier in VA.

The Truglow I have is made in China.

The Docter Optics stuff is made in the former East Germany in the former Carl Zeiss - Jena factory. They don't have a US importer at the moment but are worth the money if you can find one.

Zeiss Conquests were/are assembled in the US.

Leupold spotting scopes are Korean.

Upper end Burris scopes use Pentax glass. Upper end Pentax scopes are made by Burris in the Phillipines.

I have a Nikon Monarch that was made in the Phillipines.

Leatherwoods are from China.

That's interesting news. I didn't know Bushnell made Millet.

their couple other people have reported the same

Hawke Optics: Designed in England, glass and construction is China and Japan. Best selling scope throughout Europe and very good quality control with UK rep at factory.

Just picked up a Millett TRS 1 and the lifetime warranty is through Bushnell.

Barska is Russian made.

the bottom of my barska swat scope is stamped with a "made in china"

I was under the impression it was Russian made...........learn something every day.

Maybe it's made in one of those border towns?
