12 lrp markings
Do the model 12 LRP rifles actually have LRP stamped on them, I just saw one at a gun show the man said it is a model lrp but I don't see the LRP anywhere on the gun. It has what looks like a SS fluted barrel and warning about having a precision trigger. It has .223 9 twist and its a single shot. Right port syn. stock.
-
LRPs are not single shot and dont come in stainless. (Nor .223)
Eta - I cant remember if my LRPs had anything besides Model 12 on the barrel, but they might have.

Did they make a lrpv with a right port?

It needs an action like this. They were a repeater. Stocks can be changed. Originally they wore the H-S stock. LRPV and LRP are 2 different riffles. LRPV came as a stainless

It looks like the LRPV with a right port, the forend has a slight beaver tail barrel is 25.5. Is it possible it could have been an early version LRPV?

So the action looks like this;

All of the current target series looks like this in SS except for the LRP which is CS.

Yes looks just like that. My trigger is red I can't tell in the pic if that one is red or orange?

So you purchased it? If so go to the Savage website and navigate to the Parts Finder and enter the serial number. The link is underlined so its easy to find.

The Savage website says its a model 12 LRPV.
