Package rifles, stocks, and bottom metal compatibility

Hi all - I bought the "16 International Trophy Hunter" (30-06) without realizing that the magazine catch, trigger guard, and bottom "metal" are all plastic. The 11 FCXP3 package rifle I picked up a few years back had all those parts in steel, so I assumed this one would, too. My mistake.

Is it possible to keep the original stock and change these parts out for steel? Or do I need to purchase the 16FCSS to get those features?
