How hard is it removing a non accutrigger trigger.

Gonna bed my BVSS and was thinking of taking the trigger out, I have a few questions first., Is it really difficult getting it back in and will I need to readjust the trigger? It has a sweet trigger that I dont think I could get that good again if it were knocked out of adjustment some how.

pull the pins and it is off. may take 3 hands to put the spring back in. :)

Not hard to disassemble. Just one pin, that doesn't even have a E-ring or lock. You just push it out and the sear, sear spring, trigger, trigger hanger, and the rest of whole assembly just pivot off. Your adjustments should stay the same, but it's always necessary to check after reassembly IMO. Watch that sear spring; it can tend to come after an eyeball!

So whats the secret on getting it back together easily, with two hands?

I have done it many times and it is always a struggle.

I use the smallest needle nosed vise-grips to squeeze the two ends of the spring together so I can place it in position without having to fight the spring force. That and a slave pin pushing from the backside works pretty well.

I use a slave pin also but it is still difficult.

I will get some needlenose visegrips.

I stick a small round punch in from the backside to help wiggle the holes back in alignment while I'm pushing the pin in from the spring side.

it was a lot more fun in the old days when you had to put the bushing inside the spring!

Why not just tape off the trigger?

This is what I generally do. I use blue painters tape then put release agent on everything, including the tape. This also makes sure you have adequate clearance for the trigger after the bedding job.

If it a Pre-AT trigger ts might help. kelbro rescued this for me a while back.

This was my first bedding job and I figured I could do a much better job removing the trigger and fill the entire void with clay. I am glad I did it this way as results werre great so far. I have to shoot it to be able to come to the conclusion as to wether it helped or not.
