New Alliant Power Pro 2000LR, promising

thought some reloaders might be interested...

After looking at the new 2010 Alliant Reloading Manual downloaded online, I noticed that for 308 in heavier bullets, that the new Alliant Power Pro 2000LR gave superior results to RL-15 and RL-17.

However, Power Pro 2000LR is not one of the powders shown on their website. So I e-mailed their Tech Support and asked them if they made a mistake in the Alliant Reloading Manual. Here is the reply.

This new series of powders has not been released yet. We hope the first
of the Power Pro series, 300MP (magnum pistol) and 4000MR (magnum rifle)
will be release this spring. Later in the year we hope to have 2000LR
(large rifle) and "Varmint" out. More information will be available
closer to release time. Thanks for your note.
