Can bolthead retaining pin from a large firing pin be used with a small firing pin ?

I have a small bolt head & have gotten a small firing pin, but cannot find a small retaining pin. Several places advertise the retaining pin but don't describe if there is a difference.

Get your smith to order you the correct retention pin. Actually your ffl can order it as well.

Thanks geargrinder and stangfish Brownells had one in stock. That doesn't happen very often anymore that a CO. has in stock what you need.

Yeh I know I bought the last one. They said they were expected in again first part of April.
