Savage 16 scope ring height

Hey guys im going to be using a 3-9x40...what size rings should I use?

I was thinking low but want to make sure before I purchase online.

Didnt realize this forum section was here...ty for moving it.

I want a regular ole set of rings Talley or Leupold or the like...NON-rail mount
