111FCXP3 side button drop box magazine

OK guys.. I got a 111FCXP3 in 30-06 back in 2003 ish... My question for those who can help; I just bought a Hogue Stock PN# 11803 which is suppose to fit the 110,111 series Savage with a "drop box magazine" / hinged floor plate... after receiving it today.. I noticed the bottom of the stock is cut out for a floor plate, "bottom release" or hinged floor plate... well mine doesn't have one! Can I make my "side button" release type mag well work with this stock.. or is my 111 the wrong configuration? Is it possible to put a "bottom release" type mag well and floor plate in place of the "side button" release mag well? Or do i need to just give up the idea of updating their stock? :'(
