I just got my Shilen drop in barrel and it is not marked "Shilen" or marked with the Chamber. I'm a little disappointed. Do they marl there barrels?

I have one and it is not marked.
Is the end of the barrel crowned? I just noticed that there is no crown on the barrel
mine is marked and has neck size on it also
I have 2 that are and one that's not. I will depend on who did the final chambering of the barrel as to if the markings are on it. Usually the markings are on the breech flat.
My 300/221
(300blk/whisper/fireball/wtf) was engraved on the breech end as well.
My 6.5x47 SHilen Select Match has ALL markings on the breech flat
What about the crowns? There is no bevel cut where the bullet leaves the muzzel. Does Shilen use a traditional crown?
Mine is a recessed target crown.
I would call Shilen, and get the answer from them, They have many GREAT people working for them. Traditionaly Shilen uses a 11 degree crown. (Might as well call this industry standard.) There is nothing wrong with a flat or faced off crown, they work, I have a couple custom bench rest guns that have barrels like that. Again if you have questions about a product, why not just got to the source, instead of asking a bunch of people on a forum sight?Quote:
