Need help with accu-trigger reassembly

I've been struggling with this for a while now...

I took a part my Savage accu-trigger and now can not seem to re-attach the safety switch/button to the safety.

The safety button seems to attach very awkwardly to the rifle safety. I'm able to see how it attaches with the safety out of the rifle, but not with it in. I can never get it to stay on.

I took apart my second savage rifle trigger to see how it attaches, but no luck.

Would appreciate any help if anyone has experience in this.
