New purchase 99e
I just joined the savage family with a model 99e I picked up at my lgs. I had no intentions of buying another rifle but saw this and couldn’t put it down. I think she’s a bit of a plain Jane as far as collectibility but seems to be a fine rifle. At $199 I couldn’t pass her up. It came mounted with a Nikon ProStaff 3x9. Over all it shows some wear but not abuse. It’s chambered in 308 and manufactured in Westfield, Mass. Serial code is D1038xx
I am thinking it must be manufactured around 1979. Does that sound right? Anyways I’m excited to get out to the range and do some hunting this fall.
