New 110 storm - checking action screws
Howdy,
Just got my 110 Storm. Do y’all recommend that I check the torque on my action screws? What do you do as a once over? I am going to start by cleaning it. The stainless has a tacky look, which may be packing grease.
All advice is welcome.
Thanks!

That storm stock needs to be stiffened in some way. I would fill the fore-ends internal gridding up with a liquid epoxy.
Wrap the barrel with tape and set barreled action into the stock while it cures. Only snug it up. This should create a nice even float of the fore end away from the barrel.
After curing take it back apart and bed the front of the action and the recoil lug. With original JB weld. Or similar flowable bedding compound.
Leave the tape on the barrel and again snug it up until it cures.
Break it loose and clean up what you have to. Remove tape etc.
Put the rifle back together snug and check for full and liberal barrel clearance away from the stock.

Add weight to the rear part of the stock if you choose for balance. I take the butt plate off and fill with silicone window calk.
After she’s ready you can tighten that front lug up to 60# and my back lug tunes best at about 25#
Cheers
