The savage axis and the 110 magazine are the same. If you need a magnum length magazine the 110 version may fit. I will let the axis guys confirm that.
Just need to know the maximum cartridge length of the mag.
I found that J Baker posted: "Inside length of a 30-06 Axis magazine is 3.523" wall-to-wall."
WOW, that is a long one.
I would view that as being very generous, and would more accurately recommend 3.40 to 3.45" as the maximum usable. When I measured that it was at the top of the magazine and the rear tab that has the fold to hold the rear of the mag in the rifle actually angles back slightly on that magazine.Quote:
