Torque spec for mounting scope in my Burris Zee Rings?

I had to return my new scope to the manufacturer because I was getting weird POI shifts trying to sight in my new Model 10 Predator. I was sent a replacement and I want to be 'just right' as I remount the rings and scope. I watched a Leupold video about scope mounting and they did not seem to apply much pressure at all while tightening down the rings. I tend to be very uniform as I apply a little more pressure to each screw and keep going screw to screw to keep the gap even, but suspect I end up applying more pressure than they did in the Leupold video. I tend to do it very tight using just my finger-tips.

Is there a torque spec I should aim for? I am going to get a in-lb torque wrench anyway since I'll need one for the Accustock.

The specs usually come somewhere on the package but just in case here you go,
Rings to base 40in/lbs.-for most
Rings 18-20 in/lbs.- almost all makes

Hmmm, I'm checking Sears online for a in-lb torque wrench and only see those that start at 20 lbs. of torque. Anybody know of a specific model that is a good value? I only have a Sears and Lowes in my town.

Is there an alternate way without buying a dedicated in-lb torque driver?

Just tighten by hand finger tight.Do not turn allen or torx lengthwise(too much torque)you will snap the screws.
Even finger pressure will suffice,it is how it was done for years.Tighten down evenly rotating from screw to screw like tightening lug nuts.
