B Mag 17 WSM bolt issue

Picked up a new B mag 17 WSM Target yesterday, and started braking in the barrel today.
The problem I'm having is, when I cycle the bolt, it will not always stay locked in, and I get smacked in the face when ejecting a round. I guess I'm a little heavy handed when it comes to cycling a bolt gun, but I've never had a bolt not stay locked in, and end up smacking me in the face. If I baby it, everything is fine, but when cycling fast, I sometimes use a little too much leverage.
Is this a common problem, or will I need to send it in for repair?
