Nephew got his first buck, Rut is on in Alabama

Just got back from a family hunting trip to the black belt of Alabama and the rut is in full swing. My cousin does a fantastic job of wildlife management on the properties there.
My Nephew got his first Buck a nice 8 point. This is the same kid and his dad that Mr.Furious used on the site banner for a while when he was learning to shoot his little left handed rascal just 2 years ago. My nephew and his dad both had smiles you couldn't scrub off their faces with sandpaper. There were high fives and hugs all around as well as first buck initiations. Way to go G-man!

Good job all way around, we need much more of that regarding our young people.
70 years ago this past Dec. i got my first, also an 8 point, and the mount still hangs in our camp.
So the young man will hopefully have lots of years to reminiss over that one also.
