Have one BUT have not used it as yet
I have used the Gen 3 exclusively for the last two seasons. It is stable and easily adjusted. You use the legs for course adjustment then the knob for fine adjustment. The cant adjustment is within reach while lying prone. You can mark the legs for different ranges you shoot for really quick course adjustment.
The only thing I didn't like was that it would twist on the swivel. I modified this issue with a picatinney rail and a Larue picatinney quick detach attachment. Other than that it is a great bipod with plenty of adjustment. It also doesn't fold down so it would be kind of clumsy in the field for other than F-Class competition.
I wouldn't hesitate using one. They are a great bipod for what they were designed for.

I have two. A Gen 2 and a Gen 3. I have machined the feet on mine to make them more narrow. Half the standard width. I have also replaced some washers and done some things to "tighten" them up. Great bipod. Already good but can be improved with a few cheap mods.
My son used for the last few years and worked well in FTR using 155-185 grain bullets. Last year we changed to Berger 200 Hybrids. Still worked well. He shot high 190's, darn close to a clean a few times at 600 FTR. However, there was a noticeable "hop" with the Sinclair and the 200's. Some guys I shoot with had to change bipods when changing to the 200.
So yes it works well depending on the bullet/charge.
I'm still considering one..Damn I have tried others but for some reason
nothing consistend..Sometimes I am wondering if my scope should be a
little higher for better alinement ??and cheek weld..Anyway I appreciate
all your replies..I've already spent a lot on the other ones I have tried..
Have you thought any about your rear bag? I went to a heavy sand Bumble Bee by Protektor.. I personally like a good firm cheek weld. The solid bag helped considerably with both steadying the rifle and tracking.
Not the bag. Have the largest Edgewood filled with heavy sand. It's the 200's with a stout charge. Happened to others in FTR running similar load.Quote:

I have the Sinclair F-Class bipod. This bipod is on the heavy side, but it does create a very stable platform and is very able to be adjusted. It is very much worth the money.
