I can get a good deal on a Remington 700 Scope Mount but I don't know if the screw spacing ins the same.
Does anyone know if it is or a way I could figure it out?

Not even close to the same.
NO
mounts for a Savage are not that much though. $20 for Burris or Warne steel 2pc bases, or $39 for an EGW 1pc picatinny rail(0moa or 20moa).
I get about a million hits on that info. would you mind posting a link or two?

Thanks for the links.
Is a single mount better then a 2 peice mount?
front part of a 2 piece is the same.
Depends on your application. For a long action some scopes can be hard to mount due to having short tubes, so a 1pc will give you alot more mounting options, and also let you get your eye relief right.Quote:

A 1pc base also gives you the choice of having a canted base for long range applications.
I have a 308 Model 10 FCP-K (308) with a Detachable Box Mag so I guess a 2 peice mount would work for me?
