.17 Hornet Ammo NEWS from Hornady
Just rec'd E-Mail from Hornady Tech, they are starting to Stake the primers in the .17 Case temporarily, seems that they have found that "some" of the primer pockets are tapered, hole is larger at the case head area. They state that they became aware that some ammo had issues of leaking gas or the primer backing out of the pocket of there .17 Hornet ammo?
You'll notice the difference in the ammo, by the ring around the primer. This was just started this last couple of weeks, they seem to think they'll have the problem solved by August.
