Manufacturers & Vendors Rules

This forum is not open to solicitation of our members by manufacturers, retailers or vendors. The only entities permitted to promote their products or businesses on this site are those who are a current paid advertiser, or have received permission to do so from the owner of this site (me).

Paid Advertiser: All manufacturers, retailers, and/or service providers who are legitimate businesses are required to purchase a banner ad that will link to their company's website. Promotion and solicitation of their products and/or services will be restricted to the Site Sponsors area. We (the staff) will strictly enforce this rule. No exceptions.

Paid Advertisers are welcome to put the name of their business as well as an active link to their website in the signature of their profile. This will help other members know you are directly associated with that company.

Paid advertisers are welcome to engage in discussions with our members outside of the Site Sponsors area to answer questions about their product(s) so long as that engagement doesn't include any form of solicitation such as promoting or recommending your product(s) over another brand and the like.


Examples:

Unacceptable Behavior: Someone starts a thread asking specifically about "Brand A" product and a representative of "Brand B" chimes in suggesting their own product or posts a link to their website, etc.

Acceptable Behavior: Someone starts a thread asking specifically about "Brand A" product and a representative of "Brand A" chimes in to answer their questions or address their concerns.
