I am about to assemble my first savage (savage action, criterion barrels, duramaxx stock, aftermarket recoil lug, devcon to glass bed, etc)....I ran into a bit of problem and cant seem to remove the magazine from the action. I have everything prepped (THANKS to all the information found on this website and those you post here), greased and ready to bed, but I cant seem to remove that dang magazine...any suggestions on how to remove and reassemble the magazine?
