Which style stock does yours have, the early military trainer style with the long forend or the later competition style with wide forearm?
Early style

Later style

The serial number (in front of the bolt) is 44629.
Looking at other sites I got conflicting info.
One claimed 1933-46
Another 1922-23 to 1933.
The older gun in the pictures on this thread is what mine looks like.
Thanks!
The Model 1919 or 19 NRA was made from 1919-1932 and is the first photo above (more of a military trainer-style).
The Model 1933 (often called the New Model 19 NRA) was made from 1933-46 and is the second photo above (a modernized target style).
Thanks,
was hoping that there was still a database of serial numbers cross-referenced to DOM. The new Savage site explains that they have no interest in the older firearms manufactured by Savage prior to their acquisition and I saw another post by the last Savage historians son-in-law that he had retired and returned all his reference material to the new owners.
I guess mine was produced towards the end of that model due to the high SN, so I'm guessing 1932-33.

You can still have the older rifles lettered even though they have no interest.
Savage model 19 NRA serial 47638 looking for manufacturer date and also looking for clips. Had two and they were stolen.
