75 A-MAX jump and velocity?
Hi guys!
could you please share your experience with hornady a-max 75 in your savages(.223)? Want to know which jump this bullet likes, and at which muzzle velocity it shoots better (interested in velocity instead of powder loads as unfortunately we don't have such a big variety of powders here and limited to russian powders similar to VV 130/135)
Thanks

Re: 75 A-MAX jump and velocity?
For a start, try seating them .015" from the lands and work in from there in .005" incriments. My factory stainless 1 in 9 twist likes them seated between .002' to .005" off the lands. My velocities are in the 2750 - 2795 fps range with 100 yard accuracy hovering around .500" in fully prepped and neck sized brass. YMMV

thanks a lot, can you load a round from magazine with your cartridge OAL in this case? Or it needs to be placed into the chamber manually?
Re: 75 A-MAX jump and velocity?
I load single rounds due to the OALs I seat my bullets at.
