yup one is longer, front is 1.25" and the read is 3.5", dont think he has them mixed up ;)
they could be to tight. loosen each to see if one has touched the bolt body (rear) or bolt head (front)
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
The bolt won't turn with the stock off the gun, and with the scope mount off the gun. It isn't a too-long screw.

Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
you need to cock the bolt.

Thats my guess also. Sure you didnt de-cock the bolt when you were cleaning it?
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
How do I cock the bolt when it's in the receiver and won't turn?
I think the bolt IS cocked, there's no pressure on the bolt disassembly bolt when I take it out. The furthest back allen bolt-thing.

Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
take it out of the reciever and push the little black knob against the edge of a table so its fully cocked towards the rear of the bolt ramp.

My problem is that I can't get the bolt out of the receiver.

Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
You did say "I took the bolt bolt out, the bolt seems cocked". I must be missing something. Is the safety on?
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
He is saying that he took the bolt screw out of the rear of the bolt -not the bolt out of the receiver (if I understand correctly).
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
Did you take the trigger group off during this adjusting? Almost sounds like something with the safety bar is out of adjustment and maybe the bolt is just locked. Maybe pull the trigger group off and see if you can get the bolt out. There isn't a lot to go wrong there so if you did pull it off make sure the safety bar was put back correctly and that the metal tab along the top is positioned correctly relative to the cross pin. Just ask me how I know that can cause problems... ;D
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
The problem is that when loctiting the rear scope mount screws, loctite went through the hole and into the bolt. I can hammer the bolt open with a plastic mallet. Close it by hand, the trigger/bolt clicks. The rear bolt disassembly bolt has no pressure on it. I've soaked in penetrating oil, then cleaned it and heated it up -the bolt body, as much as I dare. Then soaked it in denatured alcohol for 6 hours. Nothing. I think I need a new bolt. Any suggestions?
Thanks;

Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
Sounds like the baffle is glued in or being held up by a long screw? remove the screw?? Take the barrel off if you have tools. Uncock it (open the bolt) and drive it out with a brass drift.
Re: Striker bolt stuck!!??
That's why you should NOT use loctite on any part of a bolt action rifle.
