Hello from Upstate South Carolina

Greetings to y'all from Oconee County in Upstate South Carolina. My name is Al and I live outside of Seneca, S.C. on the homestead of a century farm. I am currently recuperating from two total knee replacement surgeries done last year. I'm looking forward to getting out soon and sighting in my new 110 Apex Hunter in .308 Winchester. My interest is mostly keeping varmints, pests and predators off 30 acres of woods. And target shooting. I only have the one Savage product at the moment. I do have a 12 gauge pump, .22 pistol, 9mm pistol and a .410 snake charmer. I'm also looking forward to doing some treasure hunting (metal detecting) soon. I'm retired and spend some of my best quality time in my wood working shop. Looking forward to interacting with you guys and learning a little more about my new Savage 110 Apex Hunter.

Welcome! I also have had both knees replaced but 17 years a go, so past the recovery period. I’ll just say to go slow and watch where you step when out and about and it will be fine. Walking on a smooth surface is fine, but I’m a hunter and nearly 78 so woods and uneven ground is what I mostly am concerned about. Enjoy the group!!
