Saw 2 Savage shotguns today - one is a single barrel 12 ga, Model 220, the
other is a 12 ga Fox Model B also 12 ga. @ questions:
1. I had an old Stevens 311 years ago, and want to knlw what is the difference between it and the Fox Model B. The price is about $280.
2. The Model 220 - did that have interchangeable barrels in rifle calibers as well as shotgun barels?
Price on this one is about $130. Is this a decent shorgun for small game?
Thanks.

Those are both pretty good prices.
Ya, the 220 should accept rifle barrels but for some reason it's stuck in the back of my mind that the 12 ga 220's were built with a larger frame than the rest of them.
The 311's and Fox B's were built on the same platform during the same years, slight differences between the two only.

219 was the number given to the rifle versions. they did use different firing pins.
