New here and I have a question.

Hey everyone, New here to the savage bolt action world.
did a lot of research and picked up a 110 tactical in 308 and had a question about the rifle action. I did some searches but nothing turned up, maybe my description didnt fit the search.
Why do i need to press the bolt slightly forward to get the bolt to close? If I press down on the bolt release/ cocked indicator i dont have to press the bolt forward. would this be a minor adjustment to get this to stop happening?

Could be trigger timing. Hopefully Sharpshooter will have a better response but I do not think that is user adjustable. You may need to send it to Savage.
