New to Savage. New to this forum.
Hello from the far north side of California. I recently picked up a Savage axis in 6.5 creedmoor from a friend. Its never been fired etc. The deal was too good to pass up even though I was originally looking for a 223 bolt action rifle. Not new to firearms in general. I prefer pistol shooting generally but wanted to get out of my comfort zone a little bit that consists of AR platforms and pistols.
I reload for all of about 2 of firearms I regularly shoot. I spend a lot of time shooting and reloading. Hence the reason I was looking for a 223 bolt rifle. Just wanted to say hello and hopefully learn something while I'm browsing. A little part of me is considering doing a parts swap on this creedmoor to change it over to 223 if I can figure out what I need and find those parts priced decently enough to pull it off.
