Re: Savage 93FV
So I was able to get out and shoot this little guy with the Mueller mounted on top, and I came to a startling discovery. I think I ran out of L-R adjustment. Granted, I was able to hit the bulls-eye and a 10 shot group was able to be covered by a dime (only from 25 yards to start with). I must add though, it was decently windy that day. Being that the projectile of the .17 is so small, is it possible that it was being blown all over the place, causing me to adjust pretty far to the right (from behind the rifle)? Everything seems to line up on top perfectly and all screws are secured using blue Loc-tite. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Re: Savage 93FV
no way the wind was blowing your bullet so much that you ran out of adjustment. That bullet is moving so fast that a hurricane would only move it a fraction of an inch at 25yds. When you get on out to 75 and 100yds, you will notice some movement from the wind. Something else is going on. I would take the scope off, swap my front ring to the back, and back to the front, and put everything back on. See where that puts you.

Re: Savage 93FV
Ok. It was just a thought, so I figured I'd ask. Regardless, I wanna wait until I have another day to get out and shoot and see whats going on with it. Might be a while considering my work schedule but as soon as I get the chance, I'll be sure to test it out again, switch the rings, test again and post my findings.

Re: Savage 93FV
I have a 93R17GV (hardwood) and a 93F (22 mag), both with accutrigger.. I have another .17 HMR and I have another .22 mag as well as having owned several others over the years. These two Savages take a back seat to no others in accuracy..and some of the .22 mags I have owned are Anschutz's..

Re: Savage 93FV
Forger, thanks for the input. Just the little bit of shooting I've done with her so far was the most fun I've had with a rifle. I've never been a real big accuracy nut as I'm more of a hunter than a shooter, therefore microscopic groups aren't all the rage for me. That being said though, it was pretty cool to be able to put together a 10-shot group like this guy here...
