Greetings
Doug from NE Indiana. Just dug my old (1982) Savage 64 out of the basement and started shooting it recently. It hadn't been out of the case for about 20+ years.
I never paid much attention to it in the past, but I've recently taken an interest in recreational target shooting. I never realized what a nice little rifle it was. I'm enjoying it so much that I decided to get a bolt action and ordered a Mark II G. The wood stocks are almost identical and that makes me smile. I could have went with a newer model, but I couldn't resist the aesthetics of a matched set.
If I continue to learn and enjoy, I'll most likely add something to extend my range. That's the reason I joined this sight - I love Savage rifles and this seems like a good place for information.
