Howdy,
My name is Norris. I am a retired Field Service Manager and consultant to the drilling industry. I enjoy about any kind of shooting, but spend most of my time with cowboy action.
I currently own a new Axis II in .223 and an old Stevens model 311H in 12 Ga.
I bought the Axis because of the relative ease of changing calibers by changing barrels, and word of mouth about the "out of the box" accuracy.
I am considering getting a 6.5 creedmore barrel for this rifle. I imagine I would need a bolt face and magazine for this. I notice in my owner's manual that the bolt is not broken down in the parts list.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I started shooting CAS while stationed in Norfolk. Shot with the Pungo Posse mostly but also with the Mattaponi Sundowners on occasion.
Lots of good info on this site.
There's a classified section as well as an area with how-to articles and reviews - available to paid members. Well worth the $15 if you really want to play with Savage's.

And thank you for your service!
