Did you get that rifle and barrel yet?
You are in 4350, 4831 territory.
I have had great success with IMR 4350

I use IMR 7828SSC with 115gr Nosler Partition. 54gr pushes it to 2900fps. Deadly combination.
I did find some load data for Varget, so if that is what you have, dance with the girl you took to the dance.
Like Robinhood said you can use the Varget, but it is really to fast. The 25-06 is ,for all practical purposes an unbelted magnum considering it's caliber, and likes the slow powders, and long barrels.
If you want to load for the 25-06 then you can use RL22 or RL22 then there's also RL22 or RL22.
That oughta just about cover everything you need to know about acceptable powders for the 25-06
Reloaded 22 is very good too! ^^^^^^
Rl17, 4831, rl22, rl19, 7828, 4350, enduron 7977 and 4955
There's a lot of good powders that you can use for 25-06 cartridge. Varget may be too fast. Please refer to a reloading book at what powders to look at. If you don't have a reloading manual, please buy one. Berger, Horndady, Sierra, are some great references to have. I refer to my Berger reloading manual a lot when looking up loads for a rifle then cross reference with my other manuals if they don't list a specific powder I have for a cartridge that I think will work.
Thanks for the replies! I take it rl22 is a good powder lol. I think i can get 22 and 4350 here local in little rock, ar.
My son has a 7 mag so these slower powders can work there also.
I know rifles are different, but is there a one powder that generally is more accurate with 120 gr bullets?
I would start with RL 22, and IMR 4350. Can't go wrong with either of those.

If i used varget, would it tend to work better with the lighter bullet weights?
Varget will work, it's just not the best choice
