Newbie looking for correct model info

Hey all...I recently inherited my grandfather's first shotgun, an old Stevens single shot. I'm guessing from the early 1930's. I'm trying to clean it up and get it looking good, as well as functioning. When I got it, it had duct tape keeping the forend and barrel together. I'm trying to find a new forend spring assembly, but I'm unsure as to what model I actually have. It has 94A stamped on it, but I can't seem to find any info about a model 94A. Is that what is referred to as the 94 "Old Model"? I ordered a new assembly from Numrich, but the actual spring spring was different. I'll try and post some pics when I can figure it out, I'm not able to open the file location for some reason. Anyway...any advice / direction anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
