Model 116 FHSS range report

Just returned from the range and sighting in my son's new 116 FHSS in 30-06. I had had some trouble finding a set of rings and a mount that would work with an old Redfield 3x9 scope but was able to solve the problem. At the range after getting sighted in at 100 yards using Federal factory ammunition with 150 grain SP bullets I was able to fire two three shot groups off the bench. Group one measured 0.327 inches and group two was 0.361 inches. This rifle seems to like the Federal 150 grain loads as we tried some Federal 180's and the groups ran between one and one and a quarter inches. Now comes the fun part, finding the right reload for the rifle.
