Work in progress. Shooting for the first time this weekend.

Stan whats it chambered in? Looks like a handy rifle.
Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I shoot with a guy at Bell and Carlson and he hinted around about it and I had just bought a savage and he just threw it to me at the range last week and told me to see what I thought. Kinda cool being the first kid one the block to try something.
Would those m40 stocks be available in long action left hand by any chance. I cant find them on their sight
It is a brand new for 2015 design, and for now, only right hand SA centerfeed DBM.
This is my new long range rig. Have not had time to sort out a load for it but I have some test rounds loaded just waiting for a calm day.
It started life as a 12 BVSS 300 WSM. It had a bad day during deer season this year and the scope and stock got buggered up. The rest of the gun is fine. So after a few mods it has been reincarnated to this.

Still needs the bolt handle I have ordered for it, dura-coated with the Woodland Digiflage and headspaced...but, there it is.
X-Caliber 31" Match Barrel with brake from Apache Gunworks
110 BA Stock w/5-round mag. 3.850 OAL Defensive Edge puts the 300 Grain SMK @ 3.795...
Redfield Battlezone 6-18 Scope.
Everything is brand new...even the action.http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/...2BB3C4F8A2.jpg
I really like the stock I don't know what else they are planning on doing for other models but the stock shoots very well can't wait to compare this savage with my rem at the range I did ask when they will be available and he said should be by the end of February.
i would guess 338 edge based on the specs.
Lol, me too, that's why I asked. 3.795oal just sounds short. My 300gr OAL is right at 4".
Oh. Wait. I shoot Bergers, not SMKs. That's probably why. Missed the SMK part the first time around.
Okay if it's a Savage Tactical Precision Rifle with the Indian Head then I have three Tacticals to post pictures of: (all the same a .204 Ruger in the Savage 25 and a Vortex Scope).

I like to use the lightest caliber to accomplish the task of varminting and that usually means the .22 WMR. On occasion I'd use the .22 Hornet feeling it was over powerful and loud and unnecessary. The .223 is not as good as a .22-250 Savage so since a .20 caliber makes since to an air rifle shooter like me I went for it.
It is accurate and flat shooting. It is loud. It is better than a .220 Swift but not a .22-250 Savage like this one I have for the Savage Varminter caliber: oops. It's a Browning X Bolt with the same kind of ventilating laminated stock as the Savage 25 .204. Thumbhole with green laminate and limited production. Wouldn't you know it?
This .204 is amazing.

4th from left is the Browning X Bolt in .22-250. One is Ruger 77 Mark II .458 Lott, two is USSR URAL ONE .22 Match Rifle, and three is .250 Savage in 114 Savage Bolt!

Old 110 LA re chambered in 6.5 creed.
McGowan stainless 26" tube
Sav-1 trigger
Boyd's, pillared and bedded, with karsten cheek rest.
2nd-hand glades (I think...?) bold knob trimmed down so that it's not so ridiculously long
Xtr rings
Vortex 6.5-20x44
.338 Edge...by the way, sighting in the other day @ 100 yds...thought the second shot missed, so I went down and took a look...same hole. Those were the very first two shots out of the rifle!! Put tow more in the same hole at the same distance while sighting in, the only time I wasn't adjusting turrets. I then shot two 4-shot groups at 300 yds under 2". For a rifle that was under $1500 to put together, I am VERY happy! Also, got it painted with the dura-coat. Only problem is, I want to strip it off and re-do! Haha!http://i1151.photobucket.com/albums/...t/IMG_0746.jpg
.308 10FP accutrigger

Lots of great pics of beautiful rifles. But real gun porn is itty bitty groups. Why don't more of y'all go shoot some groups and enter them in the monthly email matches?

Well, I couldn't help myself, and had to spring for the Razor!! With my eyes getting the way they are, I am really glad that I did. Awesome glass, built like a freakin tank, and of course, it is a Vortex!! This will be the last addition to my competition rifle for about 6 months. I have a new Manners with the Mini-Chassis on order, so I am pretty excited about it!! I really do like the XLR, but in Colorado, the stock is a freakin ice block!!

Looks good RM. Been lovin my Element Chassis as well! Congrats on the Razor too!
Thanks!! I shot my match on Saturday with her, and we pounded out a 3rd place finish. She is definitely a shooter, but I need to learn to read the wind better. Just sayin...
If you will notice the buttstock in the picture above. I kept backing out and retightening the screws for the cheek rest, trying to get it "just right", instead of just making do with it. I had 2 of the short little screws strip out the threads in the tube adapter. I chased the threads and tried again, and yet another failure. I ended up utilizing longer bolts, and washers for friction, and I also added another hole with another screw in the middle area. So now there are 6 screws holding the tube adapter in place, but only permanently now. It still has cheek rest height adjustment, and the LOP is still adjustable from below... but it don't slide on the tube anymore. So is super rock solid now though.
On another note, the Colorado cold makes this thing uncomfortable to me. I hate having to shoot with gloves on, if I can help it at all. Petty... maybe, but I really don't care for it. So, with that being said, I have yet another Manners MCS-T stock on order, with the addition of the Manners Mini-Chassis. So I will be selling this one at a deep discount in about 6 months when the Manners gets here.
DK
I actually like the Chassis better the more I get used to it. Was up in the mountains with it here in 33*and snowing weather. Didn't bother me much. I went with the folding adapter and still almost need a little more LOP, but it's pretty comfortable still since I have to shoot from numerous improvised positions. I'm about to sell my M10 Action, Manners T2A, and the barrel I spun on it just because I like the Chassis so much. The more I use it the more I wonder why I used anything else!

Sure you don't wanna use his signature quote too Jim......lol
Great pic btw huntin1!
Jim, Absolutely, I'll send you the hi res version.
pdog06, what sig quote? Thought I had one on this site, but I don't see it in my posts and can't recall what it was. (old age creeping up on me. :) )
huntin1
Never mind. I was looking at it from my phone. I was looking at your picture in Jim's quote..... It was actually Jim's signature line......lol
Love it!
VERY NICE! I have to say this is one of my favorite looking guns in this thread.
I looked at most all the photos. I think this is the only B&C in this thread. I happen to want one despite what the elitsts say. Your Tan with Black Web is my color choice BTW. Sockeys is out of the M40 in all colors but they have the Medalist. I like both of them. Stokeys is only 1.25 hours North of me. I am going to visit and bring my 10 FCP action and bottom metal with me.
Get a Large or regulat size Stock Pack from Triad. They include stuff to build up a cheek weld and you have a very nice felt for your cheek to rest against. Plenty of storage too.
Well here goes...not super fancy but it seems to shoot well so far.
Model 10 which was originally a wood stocked 243.
22" Apache varmint contour barrel in 7mm-08
Northland Barrel Nut and Recoil Lug
Bell & Carlson Stock
Glades Armory handle

I'll take it.

Load development at 100 yards (3 shot groups) I thought they may be flukes but confirmed them in all three rounds at sub 1/4 moa. Original measurements done at the range with a ruler, corrected later at home with calipers. Varget and H4895 were sub 1/2 moa no better than factory GMM.

My Mark II has a Boyds and DIP bottom metal. Super shooter and the reason I got the model 10.

XLR Industries Evo Chassis w/ Tac-Lite stock

She's way overweight and obnoxiously loud, but there's something about her that I can't stay away from.
Here is my latest rig. Lot's of buying and selling to the all the funds together for her, and I can finally say... well... she's done?? Naaaaa, they are NEVER done!! LOL
