I would like to know more about the weatherby rig. If its a 700 action, what's weatherby?
I own a 300 weatherby in a bell and Carlson medalist stock with a custom muzzle break.

It is a completely custom rifle built around a Rem 700 action CHAMBERED in 300 weatherby Mag. It has a lilja 24" ss barrel with a threaded barrel and muzzle brake, a McMillan glass stock that was bedded at Mcmillan back in 1995 or so when it was built. A gunsmith/competitor in Georgia built it for me by the name of Miles Gibby. Trigger is stock Rem 700. the scope is a Burris XTR 4x16x50mm
If you have any other questions let me know. I still have it and shoot it often though the barrel is getting tired and will get a new one for it soon.
I can't upload pictures because i am on iphone, but it's a 1983 Japan model mark V weatherby with a duluxe stock from the factory.
26" barrel, threaded and custom muzzle break. I bought a bell and Carlson stock with aluminum bedding block and put the action and barrel in that stock. Original stock is mint. I would say the overall barrel length is now about 28".
I use 180grain TSX bullets and can get groups about a quarter in size on a good day using a bipod.
My next upgrade is bedding the action.

243 at 100 yards. 100gr SGK, Rem brass, IMR 4831 powder.
First is a .223 Rem CBI barrel I put on a Savage action for a fellow. I think he was happy with the load work.

Next is a group from the 6.5 Creedmoor Striker that I put together.

Stock 12 LRP in 6.5 CM at 300 yards.

Another from a .243 AI I just put together. I am still doing load research but not that hard anymore, I keep this as my go to load and dabble a little each time I go to the range. I have always seemed to get lucky with rifles. Even the Remingtons I have owned were accurate.

My two favorite groups are these. These are ones my twin girls shot. The first one is the first three rounds she ever fired in a rifle. The other is the second group from the other twin. She didn't like her first three shot (ever with a rifle) even though they were less than .75" . Spoiled kids!

Best group so far, but I'm still playing with load development. This was with my .243 I just built using a savage action and a 28" Criterion Match Barrel. IMR 4350 @ 40.8 gr pushing Sierra 107 gr moly MK's. 5 shot group @ 100 yards.............

676 yards. First time I had ever shot at paper past 300 yards. Right at 2.25" CTC. Mcgowen 6.5x55
Here's mine, 5 rounds of 6mmBR at 100 yards. Measured .200" after taking of one bullet diameter. I was stunned, and kept checking the calipers.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/c...oup6mmBR-2.jpg
And here's what I shot it with, a Savage custom 6mmBR 1 in 12 twist. Bushnell Elite 6-24 x 40 scope, Berger 80 grain varmint bullets over 30.5 grains of Varget using Lapua brass.

This is one of mine.

Stock LRPV in 22-250. Traded this barrel because it just wasn't any fun to shoot. It would average under .25" for 5 shots at 100 yards. Never did find a load that would shoot that well beyond 100 though. I probably won enough money with this rifle make up for what I spent on it.
Andrew
I had my best 100 yard 5-shot group to date today. This was with my Savage action w/26" shilen bbl 6BR. It has a Weaver T-24 scope on her.
The rifle................

and the 5 shot group that measured right at just under 1/4"............

I was using 29.8 gr of Varget pushing 80 gr Nosler ballistic tips.
Here are a few of my groups. This is from my new Savage 10, 308. I know, only 3 round groups not 5, but maybe next time. I was actually sighting in the new scope so I felt pretty good about it. This is a new gun for me so still getting settled into a good shooting position and hopefully can improve on those groups as I am sure the gun shoots better than that. Using 168SMK, 44gn Varget, Lapua cases and BR2 primers.
