41grs of H4350 has worked really well with the 87gr vmax in my 243 stevens.
Biggest problem is finding 87gr vmax bullets in stock ;
Thinking about giving the 87gr bthps a try.
I used to run them in a 243 1-9.25" twist with a charge of Varget and Fed 210 primers. I have since switched to a 243AI. There may be better choices out there, but I like the Varget because it isn't temp. sensitive and it lets me play all summer and hunt all winter with the same load and the same reliability.
My best shot groups with IMR4064 w/Winchster primers and federal cases came using 34.1 grains @2900fps. However I've switched to Varget for the same reason, it's not temp sensitive. I also use Varget in my .223. My Varget load came out @ 36.9 @ 2975fps. Both the Imr4064 and Varget loads are in a Mod 12 VLP DBM in .243.
My understanding is that all of Hodgens "extreme" powders are temp insensitive:

I have not had any issues down here in Texas (40s-100s) with either varget or h4350.
It has been a while since I looked at the data, only because I sold the rifle to a buddy, but......
Savage model 12FV, .243 Win, R-p case, 87gr Vmax, 44.4grs H-414, bullets seated a bit long, produced a group that could be covered with a dime @200 yards.
Hi I would run 45gr of rl17 that will put you about 3400fps, that should get the job done.

I was just playing with Win 760 this weekend. Shows real promise at 42.0 grs. Not a true one hole group for all 5 shots, but 3 into one hole, and the other 2 vertically strung and touching. Gonna have to play with that powder some more.
4064 here,makes 1/2" groups.
